Questions people ask us

What disability supports does Myhorizon provide?

Myhorizon provides Community Participation, in-home support, Short Term Accommodation (STA), Medium Term Accommodation (MTA), Supported Independent Living (SIL) and MyNight Out, our Lifestyle social group. The right option will depend on the support you need, your goals, location and NDIS funding. If you’re not sure which service is right for you, ask us and we’ll help you work it out.

Does Myhorizon offer group activities and social outings?

Yes. Community Participation runs group activities at our Lifestyle Hubs in Alexandra Hills, Wynnum and Coomera, and out in the community. MyNight Out is our Lifestyle social group, with recent activities mostly around the Redlands and Brisbane bayside. Bookings are needed for every MyNight Out event.

Can I use Myhorizon's services without an NDIS plan?

Some services may be available through private payment. Availability and fees vary depending on the service, so contact us and let us know what you’re interested in. We’ll explain the options and costs before you decide.

Which types of NDIS plan management does Myhorizon accept?

We accept all three: NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed NDIS plans.

How do I choose a disability support provider?

Start with what matters to you: the support you want, where and when you need it, and the goals you're working towards. Ask each provider what they can offer, who would support you and what it would cost. If the NDIA manages your NDIS funding, you'll need a registered NDIS provider, and Myhorizon is one. Call us on 1300 694 674 and we'll talk through whether we're the right fit for you.
