Our support workers work in people’s homes, at our Lifestyle Hubs and out in the community, while other roles may be based at our Capalaba centre, Myhorizon Events Centre, The Bush Pantry or across our other services.

Disability support work

The work

In people's homes

Our Supported Independent Living team works alongside people in their own homes across the Redlands. Shifts include days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.
At our hubs and in the community

Our Lifestyle teams support people to build skills, connect with others and take part in their community. You’ll work at our Lifestyle Hubs in Alexandra Hills, Wynnum and Coomera, as well as out in the community.

Starting with us

Before you start
Complete pre-employment requirements and prepare for your first day.
Your first week
Meet your team, complete required inductions and mandatory learning.
Within six months
Work through your personalised induction plan and probation check-ins.
Ongoing learning
Continue developing your skills through ongoing training and professional development.

What you'll need

An NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
A Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
A current Queensland driver's licence, and your own car for work. We reimburse the kilometres you travel.
A current First Aid Certificate, including CPR

A Certificate III in Individual Support, or experience in community services, is highly desirable. If you don't have the certificate yet you can complete it with us in your first 12-18 months through our registered training organisation.
